SAG municipal company steps up beach cleaning across Sagunto's coast for summer

From 15 June, Sagunto's municipal services company SAG has added early-morning cleaning shifts and a nightly sand-grooming tractor to keep Puerto de Sagunto and Almardà beaches ready for bathers.

Eight extra workers now rise before dawn every day so that beach-goers at Puerto de Sagunto and Almardà find the sand spotless: the municipal company SAG introduced a 06:00–09:00 reinforcement shift on 15 June, timed to finish before the shoreline fills with swimmers. After dark, a mechanical tractor sweeps the beach five nights per week from 23:00 to 07:00, clearing the day's waste without disturbing anyone.

The operation reaches beyond the sand itself. A two-person team hoses down the seafront promenades on weekdays; bins are emptied every day; showers and foot-wash stations receive regular disinfections. SAG (Sociedad Anónima de Gestión de Sagunt — Sagunto's municipal infrastructure company) is responsible for maintenance, cleaning and waste management across the city's coastal facilities. To round out recycling, the Consorcio Palancia Belcaire (Camp de Morvedre's supramunicipal waste body) will park two mobile recycling points near the beach zone — Almardà on Mondays and the La Pinada complex on Tuesdays, open 09:00–14:00 and 15:00–17:00.
