Pirotecnia Lluch Seeks to Reactivate Sagunto Workshop for Show Preparation
The fireworks company from Faura has filed a request with the Government Delegation to adapt a facility in Sagunto that has been idle since 2017.
Pirotecnia Lluch, based in Faura (Camp de Morvedre), has opened an administrative procedure to bring back into use a site at cadastral parcels 140 and 141 of industrial polygon 5 in Sagunto. The facility was first licensed in May 2009 and went idle in April 2017 when its lease expired. The intended purpose is purely logistical: storing finished pyrotechnic articles and assembling equipment before each show, with no on-site manufacturing.
The project covers a new storage building, reconstruction of the preparation shed, roof renewal, upgraded electrical network, enhanced fire protection, and a revised lightning protection system. On completion the facility will hold up to 9,000 kilograms of pyrotechnic material. Total cost stands at €40,589.44 with a six-month build timeline.
The authorisation requires an explicit Government Delegation permit plus a public consultation period. The company has a strong track record: Pirotecnia Lluch has fired three mascletàs (daytime pyrotechnic displays) at Valencia City Hall square — the prestige stage of the Fallas festival, which UNESCO recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016.
