Elrow festival brings its Halloween edition to Sagunto on 31 October
International festival elrow will hold its special Halloween edition, elrow Horroween Festival Winamax, in Sagunto on 31 October at the espacio internúcleos site, with capacity for over 25,000 people and a 50% discount for registered residents.
Sagunto will host the special Halloween edition of the elrow festival, called elrow Horroween Festival Winamax, on 31 October. The event will take place at the espacio internúcleos, the same esplanade that previously hosted concerts by La Fúmiga and the Panorama orchestra, running from 14:00 to 02:00. The site will have three stages, split between the Horroween and Industry City themes, and an expected capacity of more than 25,000 people — a figure that places it among the largest-capacity events the city has hosted so far.
Ticket sales will open in two phases: presale starts on 2 September, followed a day later, on 3 September, by general sale. The city council has reserved a specific benefit for local residents: anyone registered (empadronado) in Sagunto will get a 50% discount on the ticket price, applied by entering their national ID number (DNI) as a promo code at checkout. This limits the offer to one discounted ticket per registered resident, and each ticket will be personal and non-transferable, tied to the ID used to apply the discount — the name on the ticket cannot be changed after purchase.
Another pillar of the project is its link with local community groups. The organisers have partnered with the peñas (traditional local social clubs) federations of Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto, as well as with the Federació Junta Fallera de Sagunt (FJFS, the umbrella body for the city's Fallas festival committees). Through these groups, elrow aims to reach as many residents as possible and get a large share of the population involved, building on the associations' existing local networks.
Patricia Sánchez, the councillor for Festivities and Popular Culture, described the festival's arrival as good news for the city and a chance to put Sagunto on the map of internationally recognised events, stressing that the immersive experience will be open to both residents and visitors from other municipalities. According to her, the council is backing quality proposals capable of drawing outside audiences and diversifying local leisure options — something new for the local festive calendar given the event's format and scale.
